Elder Connolly Mexico Letter #40
Yo fam,
So today was pretty shot as far as relaxing, what i look for in a P day ha, but it started out bright and early about 530, we went to the park and played baseball and ultimate frizbe with the assistants. We dont know who, but president has told us that next week someones leaving, it could be me, who knows!? so today was our last chance to get together, yo, amador, suarez, gibbs, briones and zeitner. Its been alot of fun with these guys. but we finished up at around 730 then we had to go to an activity all day in my old stake center in brisas for the young single adults, people preparing to go on a mission and others, from all over the penisula, from cancun to campeche. Presidente Salinas talked to them, and we did some pracitces of how to invite people to baptism and contacting people in the calle. it was really cool, there was about 100 people there. then we did divisions, i went with this kid from Campeche named Nefi, hes 18 preparing to serve a mission. we each were given a book of mormon, we wrote our testimonies in the back then went out and gave them out. in about 30 minutes, we gave out the 2 book of mormons, 1 lesson and 4 references! its so lucky for the missionaries whos area is around the stake center cause they just got like 150 references..... that is a DREAM as a missionary. i want to talk the people into doing the same activity in Aeropuerto, my ward on the other side of the city! COME ON! haha but it was a cool experience. i know this work is true and im grateful for the chance to be apart of it. ive learned so much and still have ALOT to learn and get better at, pero hay voy!
