Yo Fam!
Hi. Hows everybody doin? so first things first, tomorrow, i talk to you guys! i still dont know what time ha, i think around 7. but mom ill let you know later on. the Mexicans all got their chance to talk on thursday, in mexico, mothers day is always may 10th, no matter what. but every other country (i think) its the 2nd sunday of May. So we have 3 people that are going to talk here from the offices, we{re still trying to figure out what time to do it. but anyways, that´ll be fun!
so the work, we had a baptism yesterday! the Hermano Herman Canul FINALLY got baptized! there wasnt as many people there at this one, he didnt want us to invite anyone, but some of the members came and it turned out good. the elder that found him about 8 months ago, who was in a nieghboring area, came and baptized him. he was really happy. Now with the parents baptized, we hope to get the kids baptized soon!
Irma has droped off the map...she has turned into an eternal investigator...the WORST! im making it sound bad, shes still potente, but she just doesn´t have any hurry to get baptized. she said the other appointment, "well there will always be more elders, ill just get baptized with them".... :´( its ok. there is good news, we got a call yesterday after the baptizm from Irma´s daughter, Nacnicte, the ex misionera, and she told us that her sister wants us to visit her! YEAH! and her sisters son, Issac has been going to church with Irma for the past 2 months. Hope all goes well, we have an appointment with them at 7 tonight.
also, if i didnt mention Virginia and Maybeth, a mom and daughter that we contacted 2 weeks ago, are still doin good! they are gonna come to church with us this week. we had a great lesson with them yesterday, they are just awesome. also i think i mentioned to you guys about Luis, we stoped by his house yesterday, we asked him if he has been reading in the book of mormon, and he said he prayed and has a testimony! ha it was kinda a shocker, i loved it. i just hope his parents will let him go. we´re gonna stop by his house tomorrow morning to take him to church, cross yo fingers.
We found out this week that Jennifers dad wont let her get baptized :( it stinks. she was sad ha. hopefully soon something will change. and we also found a family that lives next door to jennifer, the moms name is wendy, and she seems like she could be potente. more on her next week.
so this week, we had a capacitation from president, and as always, was freaking awesome. i love to hear him talk. i can say that President Salinas is very striaght forward. and he knows the scriptures probably better than anyone ive met. we had a class for a district meeting where he came and he told us how he studies the scriptures. he pulled out his laptop and in a microsoft excel file, he had hundreds of scriptures wiht about 600+ subjects, and what he does is when he reads a scripture that he likes, he adds the subject (if it doesnt already exist), for example "Faith", then puts his favorite scriptures about Faith to the right, and over the years since his mission, he has compiled this excel file, or in other words, his own Topical Guide, so when he has to give a talk about a certain topic, he uses what he has found personally, and of course, its organized from first to last in the order that he likes. its so awesome, i wanna do that post mish
